Strike A Pose

One of the biggest divas of the 80s was none other than Madonna. She is one of the most successful female artists of all time with over 200 million records sold worldwide. Her most popular songs from the 80s include Material Girl, Like A Virgin and Holiday.

Her Majesty

Let’s talk Live Aid. The best the 80s had to offer gathered at Wembley Stadium to raise money for the famine in Africa. The line-up included stars like Madonna, Mick Jagger, David Bowie and U2. On the 13th of July 1985, £30 million had been raised for the famine. This demonstrated the power of that era and its music. Although every artist played an iconic set, one performance in particular stuck with me. QUEEN.  The rock band shot to fame after performing their hit single ‘Killer Queen’ on Top of the Pops. Freddie Mercury, the Love of My Life, has become an icon. His electric personality lit up the stage and had everyone in Wembley chanting AY-OH!
